Greetings Everyone! The time is passing so quickly for preparation for the dance!! I want to thank all of you that have called with interest, questions and your support. I know this year will be great as we continue to grow in strength, faith and Spirit!! I am including an important "information update" of things I've been asked and decided to do a follow up for everyone. If you have questions after reading this please feel free to call/email me.

Camping (1) Campers may arrive as early as Saturday June 19th. If you need different arrangements please call. This is a camping event so please bring ALL you'll need to do so. You will need ALL camping gear, tools, tents, cooking arrangements, shower bags/ etc. There are grocery stores/Wal Mart etc with in 10-12 miles. There are no RV hook ups this year. NO PETS allowed...sorry!

(2.) Food and Kitchen Please remember your food donations for the community kitchen. Non perishable items. There will be a volunteer list for kitchen. Mainly playing host/hostess and keeping the coffee going! This is our gathering place! We also have a table that will hold non perishable donated items for quick snacks etc. Little Debbie's', PB&J, any snack able food. Each camp is responsible for their own "main" meals this year. COFFEE, sugar, sugar free sweetener and creamer are always needed for the kitchen. Anything kitchen related, we thank you for!!

(3.) Sweat lodges, we will be building lodges Saturday and Sunday and the the first lodge will be Monday evening. (remember we're on Indian time) Ladies, for the lodge you will need a long skirt and tee or a sweat dress and towel. Men, you will need shorts and a towel.

(4.) To the ladies that are or thinking of dancing you will need to see Skylar or one of the helpers. We will have a circle regarding this on Monday morning. We (ladies) will be setting up the circle for the dance Monday afternoon! Bring supplies to make prayer flags/ties....you will need one yard each of 100% cotton fabric... black, red, white, yellow and a small amount of blue and green. Red cotton string (a roll), you can purchase at Wal Mart and tobacco for your flags/ties. Don't forget your SCISSORS! Tuesday morning (as of midnight Monday) ladies you will need to be in long skirts and tee shirts until the ceremony is over. The tees need to cover the upper part of the arm...(just reg. tee-shirts.) This is a Traditional based gathering so please honor the required dress. If you are camping and present, you are participating! No sleeveless, halter tops etc. allowed.

General This is a CLEAN AND SOBER EVENT/CEREMONY...No profanity, drugs, firearms or alcohol, if violated you will be asked to pack and leave. Don't forget your medications, first aid supplies, bug spray and citronella candles tools, etc. Flashlights!

(5,) The Donation Boxes will be located in the kitchen. and close to the dance grounds. We do not charge for ceremony but there are many expenses that arise. We need your support! HELP SUPPORT THIS DANCE, Anyone wishing to sponsor the porta potties please contact me. If you cannot attend but would like to make a donation to help out please mail it to Skylar Swindoll/United Native Women, P.O.B. 182, Hartwell Ga. 30643 (6.) PLEASE remember to leave the grounds as you have found them. No cigarette butts on the ground or in the camp fires...bring your own butt can!...Fill in any campfire holes and make sure all garbage is picked up. Leave the property better than you found it! Parents please be responsible for your children. WE are coming together as a family, please respect each other and be alert to what's happening around you.

Remember we are coming together in ceremony as :

 "one voice...one prayer...one people"!

I look foreword to seeing each of you, have a safe journey, see you soon!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Looking foreword to seeing you in June! Skylar Swindoll
